Our collaboration with the Ronald McDonald House in Argentina is a fundamental pillar of our social commitment. FAMILY ROOM
We are proud to sponsor the "Parents' Room" in the Family Room of the Ronald McDonald House at Sister Maria Ludovica Children's Hospital.
The La Plata Family Room was inaugurated in December 2017 and is located on the first floor of Sor María Ludovica Hospital. It offers a place of daily rest, support, and relaxation for the mothers and fathers of children hospitalized in the Neonatal, Pediatric Intensive Care, and Cardiovascular Intensive Care wards of Ludovica Hospital. We also welcome the families of children undergoing surgery, providing them with a quiet space while waiting and facilitating access to information about them through a system coordinated with the operating room staff, allowing them to monitor their surgery.
The ward has a capacity for 75 people, and since its opening, parents of more than 4,600 hospitalized children have been there. The 300 m2 space offers several amenities to make their children's stay in the hospital more comfortable. These amenities include a laundry room, showers, a kitchen, lockers, a living room, computers with internet access, a training room, and informational and recreational workshops. The workshops are led by hospital professionals, volunteers, and partner organizations.
